Hi Debbie,
If you can run the Batan Death March you will finish the marathon. Best of luck to you and your brother and keep me up to date.

Good Luck,
John

Hi John,
Excitement....that is what I feel when I talk about, think about or actually do run. I've signed both my brother and myself up for our first marathon, Grandma's in Duluth, MN....we are both very excited but nervous. I will be checking your site very often for inspiration...
I ran the 25 mile Batan Death March....I can do this!
Thank you for your site, the info and inspiration it gives.

Hi Delia,
I would agree with you that age has some to do with it. It also depends on long you have not been running. The longer you take break the longer it takes to get back in shape. I have always found that if I take two weeks off it will take four weeks or double the time to get back to good fitness. Remember to take your time getting back into it and you will get there.

Good Luck,

Hi John,
I am just trying to get back into running. I discovered running after I had my daughter some 28 years ago. I was up to runnig 10 miles a day and I lost 50 lbs. I now have 30 of those lbs back and am trying to get rid of them !!!!! It seems to be more painful then I remember, is this just b/c i am older now ?

Hey John,

I know we've exchanged emails already but I felt obligated to comment about your site.

After all these years of trying to find the right site or one major site for information I have found it. You nailed it with your site and it is one of the best, well structured and written sites I have ever seen.

I look forward to your newsletters and maybe meeting you one day.

Keep up the great work, and your pace HAHAH.
You're running in the 5's and I'm happy that I'm in the 7's.....WOW!!!

Take it easy...Dennis

Hi Dallas,
I wish the best to you on your dreams. Any person that plays aussie rules footy has to be tough and driven. I am hoping to get another forum started so we can all share our passion for running. Its a sport that has given me a lot and am very fortunate to meet many of my friends through the years. Email me anytime. Take Care.

Dear John, thanks for e-mailing me back.I think it is great that you want to share your passion for running with others.I am an aussie guy 37yrs old who has been a passionate runner for about 19yrs.I retired from aussie rules footy 5 years ago and have done a half and full marathon since. My dream is to do the London and New York marathons.I am training for my 2nd marathon in July this year.I am hoping to get more advice from you,and to be able to talk online with you about marathon running,as none of my mates relate to my passion for running.Running is my lifestyle now,i am married with two boys 18 and 12 years old.Hope to hear from you soon.Dallas Wiles.
